A fellow blogger and friend

As you may know, I am currently doing an internship here in Grand Rapids with Joel Shaffer and Urban Transformation Ministries. Joel is a great guy and thoughtful urban practitioner. He has started a new blog which I’m excited about and love to see you be as well. Feel free to go over to UTM Sentiments and read Joel’s thoughts.

Samuel, thanks for a good paper on Baptism, links to a UTM site & simply restarting the publication of your thoughts! The Seminary does now handle difficult discussions better than in the past. CU is still trying to protect the “young” and reassure the “old”, especially since the “old” support the “young” at CU.

Patriotism, theology, churches, a good friend in eastern Europe (born and raised in Germany) asked once: “Don’t you Americans understand what happens when patriotism and the church is linked?” WWII did have an profound revision in thinking amoung younger Germans.

We need to get togther & talk. Good things are happening.
